Scenario
Do you need a lawyer? He runs his law firm from his Lincoln and is ready to hit the accelerator. As he travels around Los Angeles, he takes on cases while balancing his personal life, which includes being a father and having two ex-wives.

It was originally developed with CBS for a 2020 series, but was canceled shortly before the first episode was filmed due to COVID. It has now been picked up by Netflix for a 10-episode first season based on Mickey Haller’s second book, The Brass Verdict. Custom California license plates allow a maximum of seven letters/numbers, but all Mickey plates have a minimum of eight.

Lincoln’s lawyer was actually better than I expected. I’ve never read the books it’s based on, but I watched the Matthew McConaughey movie and thought it was pretty good, but not worthy of a series. I really expected it to be some kind of low budget plagiarism.
I couldn’t have been more wrong
I actually liked it more than the movie. I wasn’t going to watch it until I read all the positive reviews and that it was one of Netflix’s most watched series of the year. Manuel Garcia-Rulfo is excellent in the title role, and Becky Newton, Neve Campbell, Angus Sampson, among others, are excellent in supporting roles.
